Jordan, radiographer, UK citizen, 15-10-2021

My name is Jordan, I’m from the UK and have been a qualified radiographer since 2020. Being relatively new to working life and working in England during the COVID pandemic I was looking to go travelling after the dust had settled with the pandemic. With the intent on travelling to Europe, I thought to myself, why not work there? Switzerland has always been a place I had wanted to visit, but the prospect of maybe living there was so exciting. I began to search the web for job opening but I hadn’t had any luck. But then I found Frans Dames on IRIS medical.

I emailed Frans with an expression of interest to working in Switzerland. He was fast to reply and before I knew it I was on the phone to him, he was very considerate and spoke to me in a time that suited me. We talked about how and why I would like to come and work in Switzerland, he showed great knowledge and experience in what’s needed for recruiting in the country. Amazingly, only a short time later Frans was able to get me an interview for a radiotherapy job in Zürich. Unfortunately I was unable to get the job, however upon hearing this Frans then got me another interview just days later! This time it was in Chur, a beautiful town in the Alps and surrounded by beautiful scenery. I spoke with their chief radiographer and was able to get the job, and I am now flying over to live in Chur in a couple of weeks, I am so excited to start. I am forever thankful to Frans for getting me this once in a lifetime opportunity. He has been so helpful and fast to respond to any issues I’ve had in the process. Thank you again, Frans!
