I first contacted Mr. Frans Dames in 2020, when I was starting my studies in Electroradiology in Poland. I was looking for ways on the Internet how to safely find a job in the profession abroad without traps. I have always associated Switzerland with highly developed medical care, high standards of living and the opportunities it creates.
I found many companies online that help me find a job in Switzerland, but IRIS Medical Employment caught my attention the most. When I first sent a message to Frans in 2020, he asked me a few questions about my experience and knowledge of the German language. At that stage, he suggested finishing my studies, gaining practical experience during apprenticeships and learning German.
Again, in early 2023, I emailed Frans. I wrote in the message that in the middle of the year I was finishing my studies and I was ready to leave. He quickly replied that he was happy and that I should practice my German. In the meantime, we had a many Whatsapp conversations to see how I was learning a new language. He always answered my questions and concerns. After receiving my diploma in July, contacted several hospitals. We managed to arrange a trial day in several places. Frans also organized free accommodation and lunch in each hospital during the trial day. It was very helpful.
In August 2023, I went to Switzerland for the first time to visit each of the hospitals. To my surprise, he even offered to give me a ride to the first hospital from the train station where I was supposed to get off. I didn't expect it because he just said he was on vacation. It gave me courage and confidence. At first I didn't believe that I would be able to get a job because I was fresh out of college and my German wasn't super fluent. Frans said I was ready and my German was good, which made me very happy.
Finally, I managed to get a job in one of the hospitals, which made me very happy!
I start working from November 2023.
If there wasn’t Frans, I don't know if I would dare to take such a step - a completely different country, and German language.
In communication, he was always open and gave directions. It is helpful to contact him directly without calling him ‘Mr’.
I'm glad I met him on my way. Thanks to his professionalism and approach to people, I am starting a new stage in Switzerland.
I recommend everyone to try their hand and make their dreams come true.
