Radiographer: from UK to the Zürich region , 28-10-2024

Hi, my name is Lajos I am 37 years old. Originally from Hungary, but I have been living in Scotland since 2012.

I studied diagnostic radiography here in the UK and worked for NHS in the past three years in different hospitals. I’ve been planning to relocate in the last two years, and it was a long journey to decide where to go. A cousin of mine lives in Switzerland and came to visit me. We have exchanged experiences and it became obvious that Switzerland would be a great choice. Switzerland have better taxation and overall quality of life.

I found Frans on the internet about a year ago. He helped me a lot with organising interviews. He was very helpful by explaining my options and helped me to set achievable goals. I explained to him my German was very limited and he was more than happy to help me to provide resources and finding people to help.

Last August I have got an interview in a hospital, in the hills near Zurich.

I was obviously very anxious and everything was different. Even the language. But they were extremely accommodating and it was a fresh breath air to be with people who are really person centred. I was very fortunate to be offered the job which I didn’t expect, but was very happy to get.

I am more than happy to recommend Frans to anyone who is planning to go to Switzerland. He will provide you with all the information you need and help to establish realistic goals.

The last thing I want to say, if you are still just thinking about it:

don’t, just do it!

Best decision you will ever make.

Lajos
